Videography

Customers will almost always click a video first. Organizations need studio quality live action video, white board animation video, and “mouse-click” demos to meet user expectations.

Live action video can contain professional B-roll, in-house content, and selfie videos added by individual contributors. Animated explainer videos are a powerful tool if they are short and effective.

Video software is complex and has a steep learning curve.  Some vendors use AI to produce first draft animated videos, which the videographer must edit and complete.

Production

Every video project begins with five pieces of information:

  1. What is the title/topic?
  2. Who is the sponsor (requester)?
  3. Who are the SMEs?
  4. Where is the content coming from?
  5. Due date

Collaborating: executives and the workforce

Ordinarily, executives do not expect to be involved in the production process. They want to define the topic and review the finished output, and they will provide an intermediary to work with you.

Often in-house projects contain selfie videos produced by the workforce. These people were not hired to create videos of themselves and need support (and perhaps reassurance) to be successful.
